Barry Smith
Barry Smith is an American ice hockey coach.
Barry decided that coaching was where he wanted to be, and became head coach in 1975 at Elmira College while earning his masters degree in education. The Soaring Eagles won three Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference titles and twice went to the NCAA Division III Finals.
After being a pro scout for the Chicago Blackhawks, he was in 2011 the head coach of HC Lugano in Switzerland NLA. He is presently the Blackhawks Director of Player Development.
His awards and achievements include five Stanley Cup Championships (1991 & 1992, Pittsburgh; 1997, 1998 & 2002, Detroit).
