Laura Galloway
Laura Galloway is a communications expert responsible for helping to grow TED into a global phenomenon through external media relations efforts, and has advised numerous thought leaders and institutions on how to grow ideas in the world.
Laura helps leading organizations and individuals in the global ideas economy create lasting impact and visibility for their ideas. Her clients have included the TED Conferences, The Economist Group, The University of Southern California, the Tallberg Foundation, Architecture for Humanity and numerous others in the worlds of science, technology, design, business innovation and social entrepreneurship.
From 2006-2011, Laura served as Head of Media Relations for the TED Conferences. During her tenure at TED, Laura developed and managed external media for all of the organizations programs, including conferences in the United States, the United Kingdom, Africa and India. She oversaw media launches of the online TED Talks, The Open Translation Program, and for the launch of TEDx and TEDxChange, held in partnership with the Gates Foundation. She also initiated and managed content partnerships with several broadcast and publishing outlets, including CNN, The Huffington Post and ABC News.
