Staffan Landin
Global development with a focus on human development
Staffan talks about poverty eradication and human development around the world and does it in a very educational way. Staffan Landin takes the same basis as Hans Rosling in his lectures and uses similar motion graphics.
He has collaborated with Hans since 2002 when he visited him at the UNDP, the United Nations Development Programme to join the UN in efforts to make data useful. This led to a collaboration between the UN and the his company Gapminder for many years. During that time began Staffan also lecture on global development, with a focus on human development. Staffan Landin finished working at the UN in 2005, to concentrate on lectures full-time. For several years, he lectured around Sweden and Europe of the world's development with the help of the graphs he developed in Gapminder.
Staffan Landin lectures on poverty reduction, human development and relationships in the world. He gives a positive perspective on life despite the huge problems the world is facing and he keeps the message clear and simple without being superficial - on the contrary - he has statistics that prove his conclusions!
Between 2007 and 2010 Staffan worked for Gapminder, to make dull statistics on development in the world interesting and possible to understand. Today he is a freelance writer and lecturer who spreads information about poverty reduction, human development and relationships in the world.
